Part-Time Registered STI Treatment Nurse

Position Summary:

This nurse will provide treatment for syphilis, gonorrhea and chlamydia for individuals presenting with symptoms, exposure to a positive partner, or having received positive labs. Hours will start at two half days per week, on Monday afternoons and Wednesday mornings.

 

Activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Administering medications for syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia as needed and per standing orders, while completing accurate documentation
  • Coordinate and schedule services with the STI Treatment Coordinator
  • Provide patient education concerning STI diagnosis, treatment, and prevention
  • Follow-up with clients as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Supervision:

The PRN for STI treatment will report to the Director of Prevention Services

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

Must possess licensure in good standing as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Missouri, excellent customer service skills and strong interpersonal and communication. Ability to work on a client-centered team is essential, and reliability and timeliness is a must. Experience working with an EMR preferred. Some night and weekend hours possible.
