Volunteers are needed to staff EFA's reception desk, assist with on-going office tasks, or manage special projects. Computer skills appreciated, but not required! Office support volunteers generally volunteer during normal business hours, Monday – Friday, 9am - 5pm.
The Tuesday Night Team (TNT)
Each Tuesday evening from 5:30 - 7:30 pm, volunteers gather at EFA to work together on projects for the agency. Everyone is welcome! Fun and food are provided. (**Please refer to our agency calendar for the Tuesdays we DO NOT meet)
Pets Are Wonderful Support (PAWS)
Assist in organizing food and pet supplies for clients or assist in fundraising events for PAWS. This program provides education and services to people living with HIV/AIDS so they can keep their pets with them as long as possible. PAWS works with people living with HIV/AIDS to ensure that financial difficulties, hospitalization, or other manageable issues do not force them to lose their pets.
Friday Night Social
Held the fourth Friday of every month, this is a social opportunity for those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. Free food, games, door prizes and more! Volunteers are needed from 5 - 9 pm to assist with set up, meal preparation and serving, games, and raffles.
Dining Out for Life (DOFL)
DOFL is a one-day HIV/AIDS awareness and fundraising event held in 59 cities in the United States and Canada. It takes place on the last Thursday in April of each year. Over 140 locally owned restaurants pledge 25 - 100% of their gross food and beverage sales to support Saint Louis Effort for AIDS. There are many ways to get involved.
Thirst for Life (TFL)
Thirst for Life is an annual fundraising event involving the generous participation of establishments throughout the St. Louis area, as well as the support of local businesses and corporate donors. Establishments pledge 25 -100% of their gross beverage sales, including liquor, coffee, etc., to support PAWS and other EFA programs. Training and materials are provided.
Help make our special events happen! Volunteers assist in the planning, organization, promotion and staffing of special events that promote or fund the agency.
